And then there was you

I once was alone,
Atop the tallest tree.
And then there was you,
Sitting with me.

Were you here all along,
But I just couldn’t see?
And did I find you,
Or did you find me?

Well what should we do?
Who should we meet?
In the world that’s below
Our dangling feet.

Let’s climb to ground,
Run around and see
Where we can go
And all we can be.

As long as there’s you,
And you are with me,
This world can be ours,
And we can be free.
